The answers exist, in four different files
Unsigned hand-overs are in IT’s mailbox, leavers in an HR sheet, purchase bills in Tally, and depreciation in the accountant’s workbook. The CFO asks one question and three people spend an afternoon putting it together.
Risk alerts, worst first
The dashboard lists what needs attention: devices still with people who left, items missing in a stock count, overdue loans, unsigned hand-overs, returns waiting for a wipe, assets that keep breaking and idle stock. With AI help switched on, a short “what to do first” is written from the counts alone. Owners and IT get a weekly email when something is high or medium.

Spend for the Indian financial year
Asset spend totals approved purchase, repair and sale bills for any dates, grouped by type, office, category, vendor or month, and the dashboard shows April to March by month. Net spend is purchases plus repairs minus sales. Export CSV and it opens in Excel.

Depreciation and book value
The depreciation report shows straight-line book values as of any date: cost minus a residual value (5% by default, as in Schedule II of the Companies Act), spread over each category’s useful life. Change lives per category and export to CSV for your accountant. Assets without a cost or purchase date are left out and counted, so you know what to fill in.
- Straight-line, any date
- 5% residual by default
- Useful life per category
- CSV for your accountant
Money only for those who should see it
Spend figures are visible only to roles allowed to see money, such as the owner and finance. IT admins manage assets without seeing what the company spends.
- Owner and finance see spend
- IT sees assets, not money
- Auditor role is read-only
- Every change in the audit log
How it works
Three steps, no project plan
- 1
Add costs and dates
From your import, or from purchase bills as you approve them.
- 2
Set useful lives
One per category: laptops, phones, furniture.
- 3
Open the dashboard
And export the depreciation CSV for your accountant at year end.
FAQ
Dashboard, reports and depreciation: common questions
Does AssetVow calculate depreciation as per Schedule II?+
It calculates straight-line depreciation with a residual value of 5% by default, as in Schedule II of the Companies Act, over a useful life you set per category. Your accounts remain the books of record; the report is for reference and export.
Can we see IT spend by office?+
Yes. The spend report groups approved purchase, repair and sale bills by office, category, vendor, type or month for any dates, and exports to CSV.
What does the AI help do?+
If you switch it on, it writes a short “what to do first” from the counts on the dashboard, such as how many leavers still hold assets. It sees counts only.
Who gets the weekly email?+
Owners and IT, when there is a high or medium risk, plus contracts and warranties ending soon.
