Intune knows the laptop exists. It does not know who signed for it.

Intune lists every managed device, and the register lists every purchased one, and the two never quite agree. A laptop enrolled by a contractor is not in the register; a register entry says Priya while Intune says Rahul has been using it for a month.

Entra ID as your staff list

Connect with Microsoft, sign in as a Microsoft admin and approve read-only access. Choose only members of a group, such as All Employees, so service accounts and shared mailboxes stay out. Managers, departments and offices come across, and disabled accounts and leave dates become leavers with an exit case.

Intune devices matched to your register

Every managed laptop and phone appears under Devices, matched to your assets by serial number, however the serial is typed. Filters show devices not in your inventory (add them as assets in one go), devices used by someone other than their holder here, devices not seen for a month, non-compliant ones, and leavers’ devices still in use.

Alerts in Teams channels

Get alerts in a Teams channel: new joiners, leavers who still hold assets, bills and write-offs to approve, reported problems and low stock. Create a Workflows link in the channel, paste it into AssetVow and tick what that channel should get. Add more channels the same way, so finance sees approvals and IT sees the rest.

Not the Microsoft admin? Send a link

Often the owner is not the Microsoft admin. Send them a link instead: it works once for seven days, only for the person you sent it to, and you get an email naming who approved it. We store only your tenant id and never change anything in your Microsoft 365.

FAQ

Microsoft 365, Intune and Teams: common questions

What permissions does AssetVow need in Microsoft 365?+

Read-only permissions to read users, group members, hire and leave dates, Intune managed devices and the organization name. AssetVow never changes anything in your Microsoft 365.

Do we need Intune to use AssetVow?+

No. Intune adds the device report. Without it, assets come from your import, purchase bills and manual entry.

Does it work with Jamf or Google Workspace?+

Not today. Microsoft Intune is the device source that is connected. Google Workspace accounts can be used to sign in.

Can we use Entra ID and Zoho People together?+

One HR system or directory fills the people list at a time. Intune and Teams work with either.

Does Microsoft 365 licence tracking work?+

Not yet. At exit, HR confirms on the case that the leaver’s email and other paid seats were removed or reassigned, and the No-Dues certificate records who confirmed it.
